We are thrilled to be launching our new classes in Ipswich!

Captivate Drama originated in Edinburgh where a number of classes are in operation.  We’ve also been running drama/theatre groups in Framlingham for the past 10 years and, following several requests, we are branching out and offering classes in Ipswich on Saturday mornings.

Class Information

Sessions will take place at Ivry House, part of Ipswich School and will include a wide range of drama and performance activities to benefit young people from ages 7-16.

Whether you’re an experienced performer or someone looking to try something new, build confidence, develop creativity, fine-tune performance skills or just make new friends and have fun, then Captivate could well be for you.

Registration & Fees

Initially, we will run a block of four sessions, every Saturday in March, starting March 5th and then, we hope to begin work on a summer production.

There is an upper limit in terms of numbers so please register your interest as soon as possible by emailing captivatedramaeast@gmail.com

or text/call 07867807144

Please include your name, child’s name, contact details and the age of your child.  We will then be in touch with further information.

Fees for 4-week introductory sessions:

• Juniors: ages 7-11     10am–11.15am - £27

• Seniors:  ages 11-16   11.30am – 1pm – £30

MEET THE TEAM

Ali Constanti

Director

I’ve been teaching Captivate classes in Framlingham for the past 10 years and, during this time, we have put on a wide range of well-received productions.

Having recently left my position as a Head of English, I’m looking now to focus more on developing Captivate to reach more young people in the area. I’ve worked with Captivate in Edinburgh on summer schools and Fringe shows for the past 8 years.

I’m excited by the prospect of Ipswich classes and future productions.  As much as anything, I see drama as a place to re-focus, be creative and have fun in this often demanding and challenging world.

Jack Pedersen

Teacher

I am a former events student and actor from Scotland! As well as backstage management, I’ve been performing at the Edinburgh Fringe in professional and amateur productions for over half a decade (including several performances with Captivate) before moving down to Essex where I now administrate for a theatre. I’m so excited to be bringing my performance experience to a brand new set of classes and production in Ipswich.
